I saw this and thought of the what we do.

“If you want to build a ship,
don't drum up people together to collect wood
and don't assign them tasks and work,
but rather teach them to long for
the endless immensity of the sea”
-Antoine de Saint-Exupery

A love of the land,
patience and concern,
a listening ear and eyes to see,
what is, what can be.

Walking the soggy, half frozen land here.
It is a good time to observe, draw and dream.
Read books, Google plants, make sense.

The nesting Geese are back.
A fox and deer trot across the frozen cattails.

Another month and we begin again.
Bees, Apricot and Kiwi, then Corn, Beans &
Squash.

I wish I could grow time.
