Honeying Day

Larry out with the hives, starts to force the bees down, so he can remove the "Supers".

We had 12 Hives, 4-5 supers high. 1600 lbs. of honey. Larry harvested 6000 lbs total in all the locations uses.

Each panel has 6 lbs of honey.

A heated knife is used to cut the cells and drain the honey.

A centrifuge whips the honey to the sides, which drains to a filter system.

One day harvests all the colonies leaving a supply for the bees to use in winter.
