Round Lake Cottage Final Draft
This is the final draft of a Wisconsin Cottage assignment.
36 species of plants and a transition to woodland on the South.
I will have the completed design done on Tuesday with a cost estimate and rendered photo view.
The entire plan exists under a high canopy of pine and oak.
The soil is acidic and sandy loam. Sunny areas were left for turf and lawn activities.
I know I am way over budget with too many plants, but I like the design and can cut back in areas for later implementation.
The tree canopy is not visible here since it would confuse the design. It will be on another sheet of vellum to layover the completed design.
This is the last project for my class and the most imposed by existing trees.
I cannot wait to be done with this semester and get back to a realistic schedule and prepping my forest garden for summer.

But I should add, the rendered file is a scanned drawing done in pencil, pens and markers. I do not recommend rendering in Photoshop. The time it takes to do digitally what an artist can do on paper is huge. The presently posted art is circle graphics. I added 2-3 line graphics and shadow to the final draft for the completed design with a ground level elevation of the house. I work in illustrator CS3 doing the concept plans and final drafts, but all rendering is done by hand.
