Conference Presentation

Last Friday 5-15-08, I spoke at a Business Process Management Conference in Orlando Florida. It went quite well and although the techs guys could not get my notes to show while the Powerpoint proceeded, I ad libbed. This conference had nothing to do with Permaculture or Biomimicry, but the director of the conference wanted to have the principles of Permaculture explained and correlated to BPM. Using patterns and systems thinking via Permaculture principles I took them through our process of observation to creative problem solving. They had few questions, but most sat leaning forward nodding as I spoke. It was good feedback.

Their work also could be used by us for designing systems and quantifying results. BPM has much to offer us in the process of solving our big issues and the coming transition.
I felt bad flying to Orlando for a one night stay and 60 minute talk. I hope the results offset the footprint.
