Heat Pump

Last Thursday we were all finished.

The system is working well and looks good too.

This is the two stage pump, There is no pressure in the system.
It simple circulates the water through the 1000 feet of underground pipe as needed.

Where the old oil furnace sat is now the heat pump tower.
These copper lines are seen prior to insulation.
The lateral run goes to the house water heater.
It passively heats the water tank when heating the house.

Here are the fittings for the underground lines to the heat pump.

Prior to being wrapped with thick foam, these lines head down under the foundation and out to the heat exchange lines.

Here is a good YouTube Video from GE.
Our ground source system is not shown but is similar.
