Hello

found you blog recently and love the keyhole beds. Can you tell me the gauge of wire mesh you used for the fencing/ trellis?

We want to build something similar here in North Queensferry, Scotland and we have to try and keep deer, rabbits and goats at bay in the open field we have been given the use of.

Great site, keep it up - and good luck!

Hi Dan,

The fencing on the perimeter is Red Brand (USA) Sheep fence. Its is a thick woven fence with wire wrapped joints rather than welded. It lasts a long time. Bottom two to three feet is chicken wire for rodents, although that could be something else with a small weave.

On seven foot high fence fencing is stacked with the top four feet being the sheep fence.

On the short 4 foot tall fence the chicken wire is wrapped around at the base of the sheep fence.

Good luck and send photos!
Dan
