Colors Changing, Leaf Still Working

The tree closest is on the south side and already bare. It was changing colors weeks ago and is exposed to the full sun and wind. The tree away from me is protected and shadowed. Each year the front tree has two sides, deep red and green, it is the first tree to change and a few weeks ago was doing it yearly bipolar display. To the right is a garage that keeps a lot of heat on the tree's one side. The left and south side changes first and the right garage side is last.
