The Comfrey season is in full harvest. The seasonal rains have been torrential and the sun hot. The bees of all kinds had first nectar from these and still collect from the season long blooms. To keep the new seed from spreading we harvest just as the flower close. Most all of it is used for green manure and much will go form the worm bins. A towering pile will be reduced to inches in no time. Rich compost and worm juice.
The fence in the background will be replaced with an apple wall. The compost from the worm bins and the juice will be used to ready the soils for M7 root stock.
