The Meridian Bancroft forest garden is located at E. 38th St. and 12th Ave., South in Minneapolis. The forest garden is comprised of fruiting trees and shrubs, edible perennials, and ecologically supportive plant species. Polycultures and plant guilds are the main components in this forest garden. All trees are supplied with multiple nitrogen fixers and dynamic accumulator plants. Beneficial habitat and alternative for sources are provided for pollinators and pest predators. The garden is open to the public and also has seating for visitors. Funding for the installation was obtained by the Bancroft Neighborhood Association.
